• Identify and describe all parts of a prepositional phrase.
• Given a sentence, identify all prepositional phrases and the parts therein.

PREPOSITIONS
How do we classify words such as to and from? They are not nouns or verbs, yet they do not modify anything. Prepositions help clarify relationships with a minimum of words in context. Below is a sampling of the most common prepositions and compound prepositions.
